Terms of use

Last updated September 9, 2026

RST is a free service that helps people find rental housing, helps community organizations support them, and helps property managers share available homes. These terms describe what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.

What RST is, and is not

RST collects rental listings and connects the people involved in housing search. We are not a landlord, a property manager, a real estate broker, or a party to any lease or rental agreement. We do not screen tenants, we do not decide who gets housing, and we are not involved in the arrangement you reach with a property manager.

Listings come from other people

Listings are posted by property managers and landlords, or collected from publicly available rental listings. We work to keep them accurate and current, but we do not control them. A listing may be filled, mispriced, or out of date. Confirm anything that matters directly with the property manager before you rely on it or pay anyone money.

Using RST

Searching is free and needs no account. If you create one, please:

  • Give accurate information about yourself, and keep your sign-in details to yourself.
  • Use RST to find, offer or support housing — not to scrape it, resell it, or send unsolicited messages to the people on it.
  • Leave other people's information alone. Referral and tenant information belongs to the people it describes.

If you list a property

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you post and for keeping it current, including marking a home as no longer available. You must have the right to offer the home you are listing, and your listing and your handling of applicants must comply with fair housing law.

Listing on RST is free.

Fair housing

Discrimination in housing on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status or disability is illegal under the federal Fair Housing Act, and Oregon law protects additional characteristics including source of income — which means a landlord may not refuse someone simply for using a housing voucher. Listings or conduct on RST that violate fair housing law are not permitted, and we will remove them.

Community organization accounts

Accounts for housing navigators and caseworkers are created by invitation. If you have one, you are handling information about people who trusted your organization with it. Use it only for your work with those people, and follow your own organization's rules about their information as well as these terms.

Ending access

You can stop using RST at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or remove an account that is being used to harm people on the service — for example discriminatory listings, harassment, scraping, or attempts to reach information belonging to someone else.

Availability

We try to keep RST running and accurate, but it is provided as-is. We cannot promise it will always be available, that every listing is correct, or that using it will result in housing.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use RST after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon.
